One of the most magnificent and greatest joys in life is the birth of a baby. Many will agree that it is perhaps the most happy, proud, exciting yet scary times in the lives of new parents. There is a lot of focus out there on helping new mommy’s adjust to mommyhood, but being a newborn is tough work too! Coming into a world that is totally new and unfamiliar would be hard on anyone. The fact that your little one can’t communicate that feeling with anything other than a cry can’t be easy on them and it’s definitely hard on us. In the first few days, weeks and months, we are navigating this new life of mommyhood as they navigate this new world outside the comfort of mommy’s tummy and we try our best to understand what each cry means and how to make their world better. We all know that feeling of wanting to do anything we can to console our little babies.
Anytime you hear your baby cry, be happy that your munchkin has entered the world with a great set of lungs and remember that this journey is new for them. All babies are different and require a number of different things in order to feel calm again. Here are a few time-tested ideas to help your baby feel better.
We hope that these methods help sooth your little ones and allow you some down time during a very busy time in your lives!
