Father's Day is the day where we get to honour the Dads, husbands, grandfathers and all of the men in our lives. They put up with us through the thick and thin and are always there for us when times are tough. However, it is a busy time of year and Father's Day tends to sneak up on us. How do you turn things around when Father's Day has slipped your mind? We've got a few ideas...
Breakfast in bed
This one can be easy. Sneak out of bed early and get the little ones to help. You don't need to go crazy with a fancy menu. Remember, it's the thought that counts!
The little things
Whether it's decorating cupcakes or buying him a new tie, the smallest of gestures can mean a lot to a dad on Father's Day. After breakfast in bed, these cute desserts after dinner are really the icing on the cake.
Mow the lawn
If this is something Dad does year-round, it might be nice to give him a break! Surprise him by mowing the lawn and having your kids help with the rest of the yard work. Let Dad sit back and RELAX. (In case you've never actually mowed the lawn, here's a handy guide!)
Sometimes, all Dad wants is a little bit of family time. Plan some snacks, dig out your favourite board games and have a family game night. It could be one of the most memorable Father's Days you ever have. And who knows? It could become an annual Father's Day tradition!
No matter what you do, we hope you get to spend some quality time with the men in your life and that everyone has a blast. Happy Father's Day!
