Babylife - weego baby bottles - some of the best selling glass baby bottles on the market. The Along Came Baby Store is proud to carry the innovative, safe and BPA free weego glass baby bottles.
Babylife was founded by Pam Marcus and Daren Edward Joy. After working with babies and children for many years as a pediatric physical therapist, Pam saw that many infant products and toys were either designed poorly or had not changed in 20 years. She worked with Daren, an integrative designer, to create a new look for baby essentials and, by extension, a new company: Babylife. By integrating new research about how babies perceive the world around them, current environmental issues, and a passion for incorporating a modern sensibility into their products, they founded Babylife with the goal of providing a new generation of babies and their parents a choice in developmentally-appropriate and eco-friendly baby products.
Safety:
Babylife is committed to the health and future of your baby. All of our products have gone through rigorous testing by a distinguished international consumer agency named Bureau Veritas. Bureau Veritas was founded in 1828 and does product assessments with expertise in quality, health, safety, and environmental and social responsibility. Our products have been tested to contain no harmful known chemicals, strength-tested for durability and have met the criteria of ASTM and EN 71. We also have CE marks for safety in Europe.
New Research:
The world is constantly changing and Babylife believes that new products for infants need to reflect current research and developments. Our mission is to educate parents and caretakers about current issues regarding infant development and safety concerns. Most recently, the City of San Francisco banned baby products containing phthalates and bisphenol A. We feel parents should make informed and educated decisions about what they buy for their baby. Every product we produce will include an article on our website about the health and safety, developmental and design aspects of that particular item with current references and research.
The Environment:
The long-term future of babies lies with how we treat the earth now. At Babylife, we have given lots of thought to making our products and our company as “green” as possible. We try to use organic and/or sweatshop free fabrics. We use low-impact dyes that contain no metals. We do background checks on the factories that manufacture our products to ensure they meet ISO 9000 or 14000 standards. We make sure our materials are FDA-approved. We keep our packaging to a minimum to leave less of a footprint on our precious earth. Babylife plans to donate a portion of its profits to an environmental charity as well as to an international children’s fund.
Design:
It seems that the aesthetics of many toys and baby products have not changed for several decades. We believe that today’s parents are much more sophisticated and will demand and appreciate better designs and aesthetics. At Babylife, we want to integrate the baby’s environment into the home environment and family’s lifestyle. We go through many design cycles with our product, as part of our effort to establish that developmental elements and good, modern design can coexist. We look at nature’s patterns, art and symbols for our inspiration. One of the things that makes Babylife different is our focus on making high quality, timeless, artistic, sculptural, beautiful products for your baby (and you) to enjoy for years to come.
